Третий турнир в серии StaffCup начнется уже через три недели. Как и раньше, мы открываем все карты в последний момент. Мы учли все пожелания болельщиков и зрителей, и новый сезон станет действительно уникальным, ведь мы не только решили сделать турнир благотворительным, но и пригласили множество новых команд.
Как вы уже поняли, в этот раз мы приняли решение провести не просто очередной турнир, а сделать его благотворительным. После старта турнира мы начнем сбор средств, а после финала отправим все собранные пожертвования в одну из известных благотворительных организаций, выбранную победителями турнира (Красный Крест, Врачи без границ и т.п.). Что до причин, побудивших нас на такое решение, то мы абсолютно уверены, что подобные турниры должны не только развлекать киберспортивную публику и участников, но и приносить реальную пользу.
Среди 16 приглашенных команд есть как старички нашего турнира, так и молодежь. К таким можно отнести наших гостей из Мальты — портал Gamers.com.mt, стрим-студию StormStudio, а также сборную известнейших CS:GO-ютуберов NoobTubes, которую возглавит небезызвестный MrTweeday. Стоит отметить и участие на Staff Cup'e наших двух партнеров — речь идет о G2A.com и EGB.com.
Еще раз расскажем о формате проведения третьего Staff Cup: всего участие примут 20 команд: 4 из них сразу попали в плей-офф, а другие 16 ещё поборются в отборочном этапе за оставшиеся 4 слота. К слову, квалификации запланированы 7 и 8 ноября. Командам предстоит отыграть в сетке single-elimination два этапа в формате best of three. Плей-офф будет сыгран через неделю — 13, 14 и 15 ноября — в сетке double-elimination, где все матчи пройдут по формату best of three.
Staff Cup #3: Play for good
The third tournament of Staff Cup series will start in as little as three weeks already. Just like before, we are opening all the cards at the last moment. We took all the fans’ and spectators’ suggestions into account, and new season will become truly unique, since we have decided to host a charity tournament and invited a lot of new teams as well.
As you have already understood, this time we aren't planning to make just another casual tournament, this time it will be a charity tournament. Once the tournament starts, we will start fundraising, and after the final all the raised money will be sent to one of the well-known charitable organization, which will be picked by tourney winners (Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières etc). Speaking about reasons of that decision, we are absolutely sure, that tourneys like this should not only be an entertaining event for participants and Esports community, but bring something really good well.
There are old and experienced participants of our tourney as well as the youngsters among 16 invited teams. The younger ones, for example, are our guests from Malta – Gamers.com.mt portal, StormStudio stream-studio and mix of the most well-known YouTubers in CS:GO, NoobTubes, which will be led by famous MrTweeday. It is worth noting, that two of our partners are going to participate in the tournament – we are talking about G2A.com and EGB.com.
We’ll tell you about the format of theStaff Cup once again. There will be 20 teams: 4 of them will start from playoff, other 16 will have to fight their way through the qualifying stage to get one of 4 slots. By the way, matches of the qualifying stage are scheduled on 7th and 8th of November. Teams will play single elimination bo3 group stages. It will start the next week – matches are scheduled on the 13th, the 14th and the 15th of November. 8 teams will be placed in a single-elimination bracket and face each other in bo3 matches.
